Collect & Return Service.

In a nutshell I come to you one weekday evening and discuss your requirements, such as names for directories (“1978.06. Wedding”, “1989.08. Eilat” etc).  I then load up the van.  Convert your materials at my Scan Lab using specialised equipment; enhance the images using the right software and practices; then neatly repackage everything and return it all in person one evening later on.  (Or I can shred the originals).

My routine is to work in my lab during the day and then drive around London and the South East in my trusty red van (or car) every other weekday evening meeting lovely people and picking up materials.

Kindly call or WhatsApp on 07800 63 44 64 to discuss.  It’s fine to call evenings and weekends.  Most new customers come through recommendation and I’m always interested to hear who recommended me.

Leave the Photo Scanning to me.  One call can preserve your family history forever.  I have all of the equipment, software and expertise needed.  Large projects especially welcome.  Feel free to call for free advice weekdays between 11am & 6pm.  I’ve thought deeply about the issues involved and enjoy talking about it.  Best wishes to all family archivist heroes.

How did it all start?

While living overseas I stored the precious family photos and memorabilia in the loft space of my father’s bungalow.  One year he had a fire which gutted all of the downstairs.  Amazingly the loft space was untouched and no photos were lost.  The first thing I did upon my return to the UK was look for a service to archive the photos and camcorder tapes.  But I couldn’t find a service I was satisfied with.  In those days there were a few services I could send my photos to, but the idea of posting the photos was a non-starter.  There was no way I was going to post my most precious possessions to a factory somewhere for them to get muddled up with someone else’s stuff or lost in the post.  So I started a service where I picked up, handled, and scanned the photos personally as bit of a project and found there was an appetite for it.  Years down the line I am busier than ever and have refined the service a great deal since those early days.

Postal Service.

Don’t post!  There’s too much to lose.  Better to have me pick it up.
