Q. What resolution do you scan at?
A. Between 300 DPI and 3,600 DPI depending on what is being scanned and what the scans will be used for. We can advise on what is appropriate when you book.
Q. Can photos be re-orientated (so that the scans are the right way round and not sideways or upside down)?
A. Yes, all photos will be orientated correctly free of charge.
Q. Do you scan in order?
A. Yes.
Q. What is the maximum size you can scan?
A. A3 paper size (420mm x 297mm, which is 16.54 inches x 11.69 inches) .
Q. What is the minimum size you can scan?
A. We can scan any size, but photos smaller than 50mm x 50mm (2 inches square) take a little longer.
Q. What format is used?
A. JPEG.
Q. How will the scanned images be delivered?
A. On a DVD. 2 GB memory sticks & SD cards are available for £9.
Q. Can you supply additional copies of the DVD?
A. Yes.
Q. Can I take the DVD or memory stick to Boots and have photos printed from it?
A. Absolutely, yes.
Q. Can I put the SD card or memory stick in my digital photo frame and see my old photos on the frame?
A. Absolutely yes.
Q. How long will it take?
A. 1,000 photos realistically takes around 3 hours.
Q. Can the photos be enhanced?
A. Yes. Images can be colour corrected, enhanced & sharpened.
Q. How do I know how many photos I have?
